In her "spare" time, she teaches in the Christian Education division, specializing in women's ministry, girls' ministry, ministerial wellness, and recreation and sports ministry. * While she loves the opportunity to work in the seminary setting, Judi also finds great fulfillment serving her great God in her local church, First Baptist New Orleans. At present, her ministry energies are focused on the Women's Enrichment Ministry and the University Department. * Two scriptures that have shaped her life:
What you might want to know about her: * Judi graduated from LSU with a B.A. degree in Journalism (1981), and then followed that up at NOBTS with a Master of Religious Education (1984) as well as a Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Education (2005). * Judi's spiritual gifts are administration and exhortation, which are expressed freely in her positions at both NOBTS and FBNO as she plans special events and challenges believers to strive to be the people God created them to be. * Judi was born in New Orleans, loves living in New Orleans, but looks forward to each opportunity she has to travel throughout the United States and internationally. Most recently, she has traveled abroad to Greece, Israel, and Switzerland. * Judi is married to THE Allen Jackson (since 1983), and together they have two children: Aaron (born in 1988) and Sarah (born in 1991), and a very sweet dog Noel (born in 2004). She treasures the years she was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were in school, volunteering with their organizations, sports teams, and other extracurricular opportunities. What you probably don't care to know about her: * Judi enjoys filling her time with running, bargains, writing, and spider solitaire.
